Sacred Valley Tour

Our Sacred Valley Cusco Tour begins with a pick-up from your hotel, and then we will head towards our first stop at the Taray Viewpoint, where we will take a short break and take pictures of the great panoramic view of the Sacred Valley.

After the viewpoint, we will continue with the visit to the archaeological center of Pisac, an Inca city built in the highest area, which has a conglomeration of agricultural terraces larger than Machu Picchu itself and a large cemetery on one of the slopes of the mountain, proof of the great architectural mastery of the Inca culture.

After exploring the Pisac archaeological complex, we will descend to the city market, where we can witness the great diversity of souvenirs such as textiles, ceramics and the great goldwork, the latter being something characteristic of Pisac, as they still maintain a great mastery of metals such as silver, which are used to make beautiful necklaces, earrings and much more.

NOTE:After finishing the tour in Pisac, we will have lunch in the city of Urubamba, with a time of approximately 1 hour.

Continuing our Sacred Valley tour, we’ll arrive in Ollantaytambo, also known as the “Living Inca City.” Here, we’ll visit the Ollantaytambo archaeological complex, characterized by its Inca urban design and impressive structures such as agricultural terraces, water channels, and temples, most notably the Temple of the Sun. Its strategic and military importance in controlling access to Machu Picchu is also recognized.

Note: In Ollantaytambo you will find the train station, where some tourists continue on to Machu Picchu. For more information, please contact our specialized agents.

Our last stop on the Sacred Valley Tour is Chinchero, a beautiful town that houses an important archaeological site, including a commemorative ceremonial platform. After visiting the Chinchero archaeological complex, we’ll visit its artisan center, where we’ll see a demonstration of ancient textile techniques, tools, and pigmentation.

Note:After the exhibition ends, you can purchase any of the garments you like and finally begin your return to the city of Cusco.
